Chlorine or Sodium Hypochloride is a widely used sanitizer and sterilizer in municipal and industrial water treatment.  It is also a commonly used oxidizer in many processes.There is a number of ways of testing for chlorine, read in ppm(part per million). Chlorine has two separate test parameters depending on the process a) Free Chlorine(available) or b) Total Chlorine.  Both of these  parameters, Free & Total Chlorine, are tested the same way by Free Chlorine Test Strips (0 – 7.0ppm), Free Chlorine Ultra High 0-750 ppm), Total Chlorine (0-10 ppm), by Reagents (Powder or Liquid), also by a digital Free Chlorine Checker.  An ORP value can be used to measure chlorine as well.
